Hello, and welcome to my website, I’m glad you found it. These pages are dedicated to my ancestors that have gone before me. They broke ground in new lands, and set down their roots. Through their life experiences I draw my pride and sense of being.
I've been exploring my ancestry since Nineteen Hundred and Ninety-nine. Since I started, I've found my lineages dating back to the late 1600s, in Sweden, Germany, South Bohemia, and other Northern European counties, and even Canada. Over the years I’ve had help from many people. Those who have assisted me range from close cousins too distant researchers for hire. All have been very helpful with my research.

The most helpful tool I use is the internet, which is amazing, and if you give yourself the time and patience required, you'll be surprised by what you're able find. When I started to research my ancestry, online genealogical resources were just starting to make an appearance. And as the resources have grown, I've been able to grow and expand as it has. Prior to online research, a person had to go to a Family History Library, visit the location you were researching or send a letter requesting assistance for the information you needed. Of course, I still do all three, but being able to do your research online has made a significant difference in the process.
Today, with the LDS Library digitizing and indexing microfilm copies of records, and the same work being done by ancestry.com and similar organizagions, I can’t wait for more records to be available. DNA testing has been interesting, only in the sense that it confirmed my recent and archaic genetics, depending on which services you use. I’m still trying to figure a lot of that out.

No matter from whence they came, all of my ancestors that immigrated to the United States ended up settling in Minnesota. My Swedes settled in Sibley and Nicollet counties. My German ancestors from Luxembourg, Baden, Rhineland and Posen, along with those from Canada and Czechia (South Bohemia) settled in Rice and Scott counties. Even though all of my grandparents were born in Minnesota, some even second or third generation, they could all speak the native language of their ancestors.

My pages are divided into two family branches which are based on each of my 4 grandparents. One branch is my father’s ancestry which is Swedish and Bohemian. Then obviously, my mother’s side which is Northern Continental European and French Canadian.
So, I ask you to explore my website, look around. Please keep in mind that anything you find here on my site could already be out of date or has been updated. Genealogy is a study that is constantly evolving and changing. The information I have on this site is correct as far as I know. I ask that you don’t copy anything here because if I update my files then the information is no longer valid.

If you are here and find that we are related and have any questions about our ancestors, let me know and I will do what I can to help. If we’re not related and just visiting, let me know what you think of my site. If you happen to notice an error in my research, please let me know and I will correct it as soon as possible. I ask that you support your suggested correction with a verified source.

Currently my family tree consists of 6,669 people. My research is based on my direct ancestors, their siblings, and the children of the siblings, who would be my first cousins plus how many generations we are removed. Sometimes I do take the research a little deeper especially if I discover a connection to another family already in my tree or if there happens to be an unusual occurrence.
